Safety Features

At Sanitech, safety is our top priority. Each of our compactors includes integrated, easy-to-use safety features. 

Safety Interlock Switch
The compactor will only operate once the safety gate is closed and secure, and the keyword nob is turned to the Forward position, and released. Operation will stop if the safety gate is opened at any point before the cycle time ends.

Operator Control Panel
Sanitech UL Listed Control Panels feature ¾ inch full lights, adjustable run (cycle) timers, keyed forward and reverse controls and mushroom button E-Stop. Our auger compactors feature these industrial grade operator controls for ease and safety. The Start/Reverse switch is key locked to provide added safety and security. 

Emergency STOP Button 
Each compactor includes an emergency STOP button, which will immediately halt operation when pressed. 

Bin Near Full Indicator 
The Bin Near Full button will light up when the compactor is 80% full. At this time, facilities should schedule a pickup from haulers.

Bin Full Indicator 
The Bin Full button will light up when the container is completely full, and operations should be stopped until emptied.

Sanitech Systems, alongside our network of dealers, has engineered and installed self-contained compactors across many different industries. 

"We are extremely happy with our Sanitech Auger Style Compactors. I have 5 of them now and they are definitely a superior product for these heavy material generators. We do also have countless hydraulic compactors from a number of manufactures, so it is real easy for me to track performance indicators. I'm not sure how big your facility is but I would have to say these Augers are the only way to go!

The unit with consistently high volumes and weights comes from a hospital complex we have. It's a series of 13 buildings (over 4.25 million square feet) all funneling down to a compactor room where we have a cardboard compactor and a trash compactor. The cardboard Auger receives 4.5 tons of cardboard per week.

The trash Auger receives about 700 pounds an hour. Day after day, year after year, this unit moves approximately 8 tons per day. We have yet to lose a day of service! With the automatic greasing unit on these unit's they are bullet proof. As far as spillage, if your hauler understands how to use this unit when he removes the receiver box, you shouldn't have any issues."
